sometimes i just admire

Like the work from on of my all time favourite 'artists' Joshua Davis. The man is a genius, he doesn't call himself an artist - merely a programmer. A pioneer in the generative art scene, as you can see he has tweeked his engine to artistic perfection in my eyes.

i knew a girl called Jen once.

Jen Rinninger, a lady who I just stumbled across whilst in deep boredom. Her work is striking mostly I reckon down to her amazing use of composition, probably because she is keen on collage, and collage relies heavily on the ability for composition. There. Go have a look will you, she also paints.

Story time

Now, make of Vice magazine what you will, as I too have my reservations. That said, this is quite a good story. The main fact Vice misses out is that this lady fell 3KMs to the floor after her plane is ripped apart - and survives to tell this tale. Click anywhere to read you story hungry beast.

I dunno, but since I have moved home all my family seem to do is watch TV. It dominates their, and consequently my life. Having taken a recent trip down to my local Brighton, I had a look into the shops in the north laines. Now being an 'illustrator' there is a supposed 'hatred' engrained into my artistic values. BUT, balls to this. Graphic design holds a soft spot for me, clever thought provoking composition and use of diction is good stuff.

Rant over - kill your TV people. Read a book. Hug someone.

I just cant stop listening to these tracks...make of it what you will, but the music takes me back to hours spent on underwater Donkey Kong levels on my Gameboy in the early 90s, while the pixels remind me of numerous Megadrive designs.
